As I mentioned, the schematic won't help much because it may not be right,
or if it is, most guitar techs will not believe it will work as shown. At
any rate, you'll probably have the problems I've had finding the right pot.
You could go to the store and say, "Please order me one of these with no
volume pot problem. Send this one back and insist that a good one replace
it." Of course, if Epi isn't producing any decent ones, there may not be
anymore good ones to replace it. But, aside from the volume pot not
tapering properly, which can be cured with a volume pedal, the sound is
pretty good.
