hi guys,
can anyone of you help me with changing my bass' pick up?
I'm looking for a warm sound but that does not kill middle and high
frequency. Of course my precision is passive...
Thank you very much!

I played a 77 PBass today at Guitar Center in Austin that had a set of Bartolini drop-ins installed. Apparently passive (no battery hole added), rich/warm/smooth bottom. Flatwound strings, don't know which brand on this used bass. Played through an Ampeg B100. Fine sound, from a brief test drive. --D-y

seconded on the Bart's.....
Thats what I changed mine to...cant remember the exact model number.
