Cripes! I own an electric AND an acoustic, and play passably well on
both of them. Could I play a gig as a guitar player? I wouldn't want
to. However, I get asked to tweak amps all the time, because people
respect my definition of "good tone".

Don't get arrogant with me, Chris. Knock it off.

And I say again, empirical evidence pretty much disagrees with you on
that one too. EXCEPT when we're discussing the crappy combo amps. I
say AGAIN (damn, maybe you CAN'T read), that the combo modelling amps
sound like junk. Listen to it done differently sometime... big power
amp, full cabs, decent drivers... it'll wake you up.
