Raytheon 5751 windmill getter

I've spent the past several months rolling tubes in the preamp section of my amp. One of the last tubes I want to try is the Raytheon 5751 windmill getter. I've read alot of great things about this tube. Does it really live up to the hype? Also, is there just one type.. 14mm black plate w/ orange/red printing or is there a 17mm version as well? Just looking for some opinions from those who've tried the tube.

Also, I'm also trying to identify a Hammond branded 12AX7A made in Gt. Britain. The only code on it is 2-1, and 24 is impressed on the bottom. It's got a Halo Getter. I thought I could get some help from y'all with this one. Here are a couple pictures:
