I picked up an early Sunn with pots dating to 65. Pics are from the seller: http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h437/tillmon1/?action=view¤t=P1440632.jpg

Preliminary poking around says that Conrad Sundholm originally used Dynaco/Dynakit preamps with the Mark II monoblock power amp. But then from what I see, he used mostly the Mark III.
This appears to be an early Model 60, except is has the Dynaco Mark IV (EL34) instead of a Mark III (6550/KT88).
I found a step by step Dynakit instructions for the power amp, and a schematic for the Model 50 preamp. The iron tests good with a meter. The tolex type covering has some very noticeable fading, I assume UV damage. But if I can get it up and running, I'll be very happy.
It came with one tube... A Mullard GZ34 (not yet tested).
If I don't have a 7199 in my stash, does anybody know if the Sovtek is decent?
Lastly, is anybody familiar with the amp itself?
