Dr. Richard Muller, noted physicist and former hero of the global warming deniers ("He's a real scientist, from BERKELEY! And he says it's BS. So he must be right") was driven by his skepticism to lead an independent study of the issue. Turns out, he's no longer a skeptic.

It wouldn't matter if there wasn't a single qualified scientist on earth still disputing manmade climate change, because the position of climate change deniers isn't based on science, it's based on politics. It just doesn't matter to them what the data say, they want to drive a V-8 SUV hauling a 20 ft. boat to the lake on weekends with the A/C going full blast all the way, and anyone telling them to insulate their attic or put on a sweater instead of cranking up the heat or use a fan instead of air conditioning is clearly a commie hippie America-hating commie pinko Nazi terrorist sympathizer commie, end of story. Selfish stupidity as a lifestyle, that's what it comes down to.
