Palin has actually denied that those were 'crosshairs'. Not sure what
else they're supposed to be, especially given that she had referred to
them as bullseyes or targets in the past.
"Surveying symbols". That's the word from the Palin campaign, I kid you not.
Funny how she herself referred to them as "crosshairs" previously.
Exactly, she's trying to wriggle away from her own language and imagery and doing a clumsy job of it. I think tying Palin to this Arizona shooting is opportunistic and a considerable stretch, but Sharon Angle and others who have directly raised the idea of using bullets if ballots don't get them what they want is a different matter.
