Sure we can. Stop invading other countries. Stop making the military
our only employment program for the poor.

Stop invading other countries *without cause* would be better.

Gut the military budget like a fish.

Cuts, big cuts, sure, there is plenty of waste in the Pentagon budget. But "gutting" the military is like gutting the Fire Dept., the day always comes when they're needed. Shit happens, Tony, and 911 only works if there is someone on the other end of the line.
