Now....before we laugh too hard at Brazil, I might remind everyone that
the USA elected George W. Bush as president--TWICE.

Yes--the similarities are striking.

He most certainly is a clown, who strongly resembles the character on
the front of Mad Magazine.

He's also certainly NOT the sharpest crayon in the box,
either....champion of the philosophy "if'n I cain't thinkify of the
right word, I'll just manufacturate a word of my own."

Yeah....we beat Brazil to the punch on this one, for sure!!

And, regardless how you feel about Obama, you have to admit--at least
the world is no longer laughing at us because *we* elected a clown.

The only difference is that the clown in Brazil doesn't hide
behind a Brooks Bros. suit with red power tie as most of our
elected federal govt officials do.
Or to misquote Shakespeare,
"a rose by other any other suit... is still a clown.."
At least the Brazilian clown is probably not bought, sold and owned
by party and corporate interests. At least he's a true independent.
Do you think electing well shod, well clothed and highly groomed political cronies is
any better ? But I suppose some people are still impressed by such things.
It has become painfully obvious they would be better to vote for
the clown costume rather than the Brooks Bros. suit whenever
the chance presents itself.
