Ah, but you're forgetting that Willy's little moral stands are highly selective. With customers Willy is anxious in stay on good terms with their political and cultural views are overlooked no matter how much Willy says he despises such views. Willy has some famous customers he would slam as dirty commie hippie liberal anti-American vermin if they were posters to a.g.a. rather than celebrity musicians Willy wanted to suck-up to. It is a very safe bet that those customers could visit Willy's shop and say anything they pleased and he would not make one little peep in objection, must less call the cops or finger the pistol in his pocket.
