I've done some electronics before, but nothing with tubes and nothing
on this scale.  I've messed around with distortion pedals and I've
built tillman's hunk of a preamp and I've built several op amp
preamps.  One of the questions I have, other than general advisement
lol, is how many watts should I use for the tube preamp?  I've looked
up some schematics and I've found several, but I'm not sure what
wattage would be appropriate.  I've got a Roland Cube 60 that I plan
on using, so would a 50 watt preamp suffice or does it need to be
lower than that?  Also, I've never dealt with transformers.  Would I
be able to tap into the one that is already in my amp, or do I need to
get another one specifically for the preamp?

This is the one I was looking at.  It looks like there are two
transformers in there too.  I've been looking around for a good tube
preamp tutorial, but, as of yet, have been largely unsuccessful.  Most
of them assume I already know how to build a tube preamp, which seems
to contradict the need for a tutorial.  Anyway, Thanks for the future
help.
