old telephone wire -- good for what?

I removed an old 6 pair cable from the outside of my house today. The house was build in '56 by a doctor who must have had at least three phone lines, as there's a small wiring frame in the basement and all the runs are either 4 or 6 pair. I'd guess the wire dates to the early 60's. This one over 20' long. The outer jacket is shot, but is there any use for the wire? I mean, besides telephone. I'm assuming this is low voltage wire and not much use in amp work, but I thought I'd ask.
