I've seen the Marshall Haze amps mentioned a couple times....anyone try
the Haze cabs? They have some new type of Celestion inside....I've
never heard of it. I did find a little bit of information online.
The "Korgwest" site says they're rated at 66 watts (peak? RMS?) and
have nice low end. "Slightly darker than a Greenback", it says.
I recently bought an Egnater Rebel 20 and have been using it with a
Blackheart 1 x 12 cab. It's not bad sounding, but I know I can do
better. A couple of 1 x 12 Marshall cabs might just do the
trick--assuming they're decent quality, etc.
Anyone ever try one? What about trying one with an amp--different than
the Marshall Haze?
Anyone?
Sure, I could get the matching Egnater cabs for around the same money,
but I've heard they accent the high end a bit much. I'm looking for
something more Marshall-like, tonewise...but with good note definition.
Thanks in advance, for your comments!
Mike
Is that Blackheart made in Korea or China?
I have a Korean BH110 (smaller 10" version) that is a SOLID little cab. Very high quality, all wood is 15-ply void free. I got it with my Killer Ant 1/4W head.
Have you thought about replacing the Blackheart driver with something like a Celestion G12H30, or the "Hellatone" equivalent through avatar speakers? That might be my next move.
Also curious whether yours still has the butt-ugly logo on it. Mine came off within 10 minutes of ownership.
