Did I say that? But reporting on a bill that does a faceplant in the dirt
every time it is introduced as if this time it might suddenly gain traction
and become law is either misinformed reporting or intentional deception. In
the case of WND, it's the latter.

There's a good reason why WND has advertising for a product
promising to flush 15-20 pounds of undigested meat from the colon,
namely their "news" appeals to people who suspect (if only
subconsciously) that they're full of crap.

Actually I think the reason they had the ad is because someone paid
them to post it. If gullible people want to believe they have pounds
of undigested meat in their colon (something which any surgeon could
tell them is completely untrue) they should lose their money.

My point being that WND seems to thrive on such advertising--miracle diet
pills, credit repair, colon cleansers--apparently the advertisers of these
bogus products have figured out that WND tends to attract poor-informed,
gullible readers. They probably didn't have to spend a lot on marketing
research to determine that, just scanning the "news" on that website could
have told them all they need to know.
