Damn, now it's my turn to apologize. I keep forgetting that your radar is
blind to anything bad done by anyone with an "R" after their name, you only
pick up the stuff done by those "D" guys. As consistent as you are with
that you'd think I'd be able to remember it....



I think I understand the problem.

It goes *way* back to the day that little Dougie was in the
yard playing with his little friends, Kenny and Mikey.

Dougie's Mom looks out the window and sees her little darling
with his finger up his nose all the way to the first knuckle.
The mining expedition successful, little Dougie pulls out his
prize and shoves it into his gaping mouth with all the aplomb
of a French gourmet dining on Escargot. Mom finds this exploration
of alternate taste sensations to be a bit disturbing, and attempts
to provide a bit of guidance to her future Leader of the Willing.

"Dougie!!!!!! How many times to I have to tell you to not eat your boogers!!!"


Dougie responds:

"But Mmmmmooooommmmm. Earlier when we were playing we found something
that looked like a dog turd. It scared me, but Kenny and Mikey thought
it was a Baby Ruth candy bar. We couldn't figure out how to tell the
difference, so Mikey and Kenny each took a bite of it to see what it
really was. Kenny even took a second bite because he liked the taste.

Mom:

"Oh, that's OK then, Dougie. You enjoy your snotballs."

And that, dear readers, is why little Dougie tries to excuse
bad behavior by redirecting focus to the bad behavior of others.
