I've got a small stash of them (under a dozen), great tubes. IIRC, you'd
find a number tag on the INSIDE of the tube. Maybe on the getter
structure?

Off the getter, or plate, or missing.
If they were out of parts wouldn't wait on that. Same with Siemens. Each
of these could have Philips codes or not.
But all the ones *I've* seen do have tags
Same with buttons. If they needed, they bought.
Serendipity, we're all in luck. This guy splains,
Angus can go to Spain, but,
~YOU JIM~
can buy,

ROHRE from the crowd!

For Angus, bold lines, permanant paint, lot of pigment, think relabeler.
Bold lines, flaky, but real white think relabeler, maybe Japanese.
Edicron, ITT,IEC etc...
Thinner lines, permanent, real white, maybe STC, less white and flaky,
maybe STC, or GEC family.
Philips used numbers in pins but usually a code somewhere.
You have to go by construction, getter, tilted, saucer, shape. Type of
plate, holes in plate, half round, round, square.
Brazed, spot welded, swaged.
Insulation on wires in bottom.
But if it sounds better than what you have, that's good, if it doesn't,
inverter.
You don't have much to worry about, not much current.
Treat it like a lightbulb. If it freaks out toss it.
