I've only opened up a couple of amps with reverb, but does this even

Seems a bit odd.
What is the amp?
John
I recently picked up an oddball Hohner PA-55R. 4x 12AX7 6L6GC PP for 55W,
built as a tube PA head. It works fine, but the reverb hums a bit.
The pic is off an ebay auction for a like unit, NOT mine. It appears that
somebody yanked the weird looking one and put in an accutronics stamped
1122 in the chassis by the label, QC-12 by the input (quality control?),
and ink stamped 1262-7239 under the springs. They didn't bother using
shielded cable on one side, and messed with some resistors (I think around
the driver, which is a single transistor).
I was curious, because I'm thinking of a major rebuild anyway. I wouldn't
go back to stock, just wondering what it was.
If you contact Accutronics (formerly Gibbs), they keep records and can tell
you what is the appropriate part if it was theirs. They make them for the
specific orientation of placement, open side up, down, and 2 kinds of
sideways. So, if you want to re-orient the tank, they will make it in the
orientation that you intend to use.
