What could this be worth?

3 years ago I paid $225 for one mostly stock, but some of the circuit
had been hacked(badly). I got it right for less than $30. Sold it and
hated myself for it.

I recently paid $500 for a '65 head(AB165), all origional, with a
bandmaster cab stuffed with 2 EV-12s. Great Stax style sound.
Prices are going up, but a lot depends on how intact the origional
circuit is. I noticed that there were no pictures of the guts in the
one above.

From goodwill you get what you get. They don't offer much in the way of
salesmanship. But this one will be out of my range soon. The
collectors/dealers that monitor this site buy anything
Fender/Kalamazoo/Gibson etc etc.....

I would only pay about 1/2 of what it's worth because you never know
what the actual condition is and if you ask they won't know anything.

Olddog

They seem to know enough that you can't walk into the storefront and buy
it for $20.

uh....it's an auction.

olddog

Uh huh, I understand. Used to be that they'd just put them on the store
floor in the appliance corner and you would tuck it under your arm for
silly cheap money. They've wised up.

good idea but too bad the dealers have access. not as many good deals
anymore. some people are complaining that the local shops don't have
anything worthwhile anymore. everything is up for auction.
