Joe - all I get is the Tull mp3 of the song - was there a link to your
coveer that I missed?
Very interesting experiment with the 12AY7, I'll have to try it. I
haven't done anything to mine yet, but I agree with you that this amp
is a hell of a bargain. It may be the last bit of cheapo Chinese stuff
that I buy -I'm trying to ween myself of the mudhut special habit, but
it certainly sounds good. I gigged mine once and wrote a short review
here of it. It had some good moments but there are other amps that do
a better job after a couple of hours. I've always thought that EL84s
get too hot after a while. Pretty soon you've got much more distortion
than you necessarily want IMHO. Lately the amp has been living at a
friend's house where it works at the Friday jams we've been having for
15 years. It does a great job there.
