I have a '68 TR with the original speakers (Emminence, I think), newer
tubes, although I don't
know what brand. It seems to me the tone is harsh compared to other TR's
I've heard. Doesn't matter what guitar I run through it - Tele, Strat or
LP.
The non-reverb side is a little better, but still lacks "round" tone, for
lack of a better term.

I don't know much about amps other than how to plug 'em in. Could this be
a
function of bias, or some sort of tweaking a tech could perform?
