You'd think so, wouldn't you. Yet apparently behavior that isn't quite
criminal but is nonetheless contrary to college regulations is routinely
dealt with by things like Disciplinary Boards rather than the cops. Don't
ask me, nobody asked me how to do it.
Come to think of it I knew a guy who got caught up in something like that,
grad student, became obsessed with a female student and was always phoning
her and hanging around and following her. For whatever reason they kept the
police out of it but he got hauled in and warned by the university that if
he persisted it would become a police matter which would probably mean the
end of his time on campus. You just never know with some people.
