I am replacing the filter caps on my Fender silverface PA-100 amp. The old caps are original and have leaked. The values are three 20uf

from Antique Electronic Supply, but should I up the voltage or
capacitance?
How long did the originals last? If they lasted 'long enough', go for exact replacements.
I agree, or higher voltage if original isn't in stock. But I think I read David to say original VALUES. Just be aware that I bought some electrolytics based on values and was shocked at how small they were. I don't know if they will last as long as larger caps or not.

Do not increase the capacitance, the start-up surge may kill the rectifier. Oh, for the avoidance of doubt, I don't know if this amp is tube or SS rectifier as I've never worked on one! Anywoo - If it sounds OK with the original values you might as well stick with them.
Increasing the voltage rating? I guess you could. But the cans might be bigger than the originals.
Do you want to keep this amp as 'an original', or is it a gigging amp that just has to work?
