As of two days ago, and while at band practice, my three month old
deluxe started to swamp. Clean chanel gained some overdrive and the
volume eventually died out..
Any clues? I don't even know were to start with it. I was wondering if
you guys knew what the problem might be.
What the hell is 'swamping'? Watch the big tubes when
it fades... do you see one get red? Time for a tech!
The three big tubes are not completely interchangeable, btw.
Only plug tubes with the proper number into each slot.

A HRD only has two "big" tubes. SS rectifier. The three preamp tubes
are all 12AX7s so they are shuffle-able.
To the O.P.: How long did it take to fade out once you heard the
distortion? 3-5 seconds? 3-5 minutes? Possibly a cracked solder
joint on one of the tube sockets. Since it fades out and not an abrupt
cutout, maybe it's a heater connection.. Happens ALL the time with the
HR Deluxe/Devilles. :-(
As it's only 3 months old, the amp will be under warranty assuming you
purchased it from an authorized dealer. Unless it's a tube itself, the
repair shouldn't cost you anything except for a trip to the tech. You
don't have to go back to the original dealer; any Fender-authorized tech
can do warranty work as long as you have a copy of the original sales
receipt.
Rather than trying to fix it on the internet where, why not have a pro
do it for free.
