Although the ECC85 is a twin triode and the tri-electrodes share the same
scheme, the heater is operated in a different way..
Sorry, I should have been clear about this. Jochen is absolutely correct.
The US equivalent is the 6AQ8, with 6 volts on pins 4 & 5. Pin 9 is a
screen between the triodes.
