GAS - A question for guitar / amp collectors

Folks - This may be way out there, but I have some 'guitar / amp
collector questions' for any collectors that care to answer.
<<< Please spare the flame responses. I know at a glance, this may
seem shallow, but I am sure there are some out there that feel the
same way, like the whole GAS - Gear Aquisition Syndrome thing>>>
I am a guitar / amp collector. It excites me to find rare pieces,
which occupies most of my time and interest in the guitar field. Some
people like cars, I like guitars and amps.
The problem I have is ... once I find that piece, I put the guitar in
a closet, and move on to the next tough piece to find, much like an
archeologist, looking for bones.
I learned that my interest in collecting has superceded my interest in
playing guitars.
Now, I am at a crossroads, because I have lots of guitars that I don't
play, hardly have room for, that I can obviously sell, but would be
right back to square one.
Anyone else feeling the dilemma? Any feedback (again, besides the
flames I know this type of post will generate)?
Even for the vintage collector, everyone MUST feel a little bit of
this, no?
.
