Greetings All,
Wanted to pick the brains of all the genius amp gurus out there. I
recently
picked up a 60's Gibson Scout. It's a great sounding amp with cool
sounding
tremolo but the reverb doesn't work. It never has since I got it. All
the
connections look good but no added reverb when the knob's cranked and
it's
switched on... The good news is that there isn't any added hum or buzz
when
the 'verb is engaged, just the straight guitar sound. Although, if
the
reverb is engaged & the knob cranked I can tap on the reverb tank &
hear a
little "Dick Dale Wave Crash" coming from the reverb tank amplified
through
the speaker. Any ideas of what I need to fix or problems I need to be
looking for on her to get the reverb up and going???
Try reversing the tank connections.
You should hear a loud crash, not a 'little' one.
Check all tubes for proper type... Gibson used
funky tubes for reverb and someone might have
subbed a wrong one.
