Actually now I am obsessed.
Reality: I was putting some silicone on an led in my amp, go here to
view it, because it was loose and makes noise when it vibrates.
Anyway, while doing this i noticed that when passingg my hand near the
high gain wire to V1 it picked up serious radio station interference.
This reminded me that my guitar also has a radio issue when the volume
pot is open, custom shop Fender strat. It any case, what sort of fix
can you think of to help this situation. I can put an inductive
filter in but that means placing it in series with the high gain
input. Can I place a cap in parallel to ground, and what size and
type of cap do i need for this.
Put a .01 microfarad ceramic disk between input ground and immediate chassis ground. This bleeds off RF before it finds its way into the preamp. Yes, I mean the ground, NOT the signal.
