I think you just need top rotate 180 degrees. Somebody who looked close (not me) said he could see differences at the input, making yours an early version not cascaded.


Also, what are the
sound differences bhetween the 6550 tubes and the el-34s? and which do you
perfer? i assume the el34s, right?

I currently run JJ E34L in my JMP 2204. I like them better for blues or classic rock at high volume. I like the GE 6550A better for metal at high volume. At lower volumes, it makes little difference, but EL34 may be a bit middier and 6550A may have more bottom.
