I want to build a 2x8" cab to use with my Fender Champ 600 which is
4ohm's. Do I use 2 4ohm speakers or does using 2 speakers mean I
should use 8ohm speakers? or does wiring them in series or parallel
make a difference? Also doe anyone know where I can get info on wiring
speaker cabs? Thanks
just a suggestion -- first yeah - you'll need (2) 8 ohm speakers
wired in parallel to get final 4 ohm output for your amp.
however - before you build that 2x8 cab - you really
should at least think about building or getting a 2x10 cab.
I would suggest 2x10 open back for that nice airy open Fender sound.
You'll have a lot more choices in nice 10 inch guitar
speakers out there and in the end your little Champ will
be able to really punch out some nice sounds with the 10's.
Eminence speakers (red coat and patriot series)
Celestion
Weber
There 3 companies offer some killer good 10 inch speakers
and they offer them as 8 ohm speakers.
Just my 2 cents.
