Even Ed can't pretend that he hasn't been proven wrong yet again, and using
a link that he provided no less. So he falls back on his usual tactics, an
odd mix of self-pity and poison-spitting. Since the facts are against him
he resorts to the baffling accusation of "intellectual dishonesty," which is
his way of saying I'm morally wrong even if all I did was point out his own
link didn't back up his claim. Whenever Ed complains that someone took his
words out of context, or misconstrued something, or played a rhetorical
trick on him, that's a de facto admission that he has again painted himself
into a corner with a combination of ignorance and an inability to look at a
situation rationally rather than through the cracked lens of his emotional
perceptions. Ed has been doing this as long as I've seen him post here, he
shoots from the lip without knowing what he's talking about and then when
someone calls him on it all he can do is hiss and spit in helpless anger,
the very act of proving him wrong qualifies as "lying" in Ed's mind.

Of course you're right, Ed does this to himself, he won't do the homework so
he can discuss issues like this without jamming his foot in his mouth and
yet his insists on jumping in and then looking like a fool over and over
again. It's gotta be hell going through life like that, always having to
blame others for his own actions. I would find it refreshing if he could
just admit that he had it wrong, that he misunderstood the article, but he
just can't climb down, he has to blame someone else for his foolishness.
What a truly odd cat he is.
