Looking at these for a bedroom amp. Anyone have any experience with it?I have one that I bought specifically for home practice. IMO it sounds better than any modern SS amp I've tried. The onboard effects are relatively decent as are some of the amp sims.
However, I have noticed that I fiddle too much with the settings rather than practice. Also, I have an all tube Laney VC30 that provides a significantly better clean sound, even att room volume.
Thus, I'll probably sell my AD30VT. I may get an Epi Valve Jr instead, although it is way too loud for breakup at home.
If you're considering the AD30VT and want a bit more gain, you may want to wait until the new version, XL, hits the stores. It's supposed to have more gain and it comes with a 12 inch speaker.
