so, the TS808 was not what i wanted... so on a whim, i bought a Maxon SM-01 from 1983 (Ibanez SM-9). I tell you, this thing didn't brighten the amp, actualy made it a little thicker... this JTM30 is bright (6l6 black plates). I finally got the gain where i want it...
I haven't seen many of these pedals around, and for 65 bucks, i think i am going to enjoy this thing, i played more guitar in the last 3 days htan i have in quite awhile.
First pedal since i started playing... just wondering something here. when i run it on the distortion channel, it starts to clip... no matter where the pedal gain or amp gain is...
running it on the clean, no clipping.
Should i run this thing on the clean, or am i just not using it properly on the amp gain channel?
Thanks!
Picasso,
is it front of the amp or in the fx loop?
