And the majority of democrats believe that man is causing the earth's
climate to heat up and that this warming is unnatural.

As a leading Nasa scientist recently asked, "Who's to say what is the
normative temperature of the earth?"

As Bertrand Russell said, "The most savage controversies are those
about matters as to which there is no good evidence either way."

Origins issues fall into this category (just as questions of Global
warming do).

Evolutionists claim that the facts on their side, but facts alone say
nothing. Each fact is open to multiple reasonable interpretations.

An example: the evolutionist looks at the Grand Canyon and says it
formed from a little water and a lot of time.

The young earth creationinst looks at the Grand Canyon and says it
formed from a lot of water and a little time.

Both interpretations are what Russell calls "savage controversies"

So lets be humble about the positions of those we disagree with. The
Republicans "Get It" as much as the Democrats do.

People who don't get it, are those who try to water down the issues to
15 second soundbites like the original poster of this thread.
