the best way to boost a lead is not using
any pedals at all. start with an amp that
sounds good without a pedal. then turn your
guitar volume up when you are playing lead,
turn the guitar down when playing rhythm.
this has worked for real professional players
for decades.
there is no pedal that makes you a better player.
put money into a better sounding amp, not pedals.
There is no volume control on a guitar that makes you a better player.
Pedals have been used by Jimi Hendrix, Ed Van Halen, Eric Clapton, and
thousands of other "pros".
Ever hear of a player named Mykey? 'nuff said.
There is no "best way" to anything, except making a fool a of yourself
and saying "the best way is my newbie way" like the above poster.
Put your money into whatever you like, limiting yourself to just your
amp is limiting yourself, period.
