It's all what can be pimped by the masses, and RS is the pimp, as 4
now, RS is complete BS. I have stacks of RS, and read it from the late
60's..it was always the 'ads' and promoting the next big star, or the
current bull*** ad to sell some hair spray to YOU..the consumer..

Yea I used to read it too (admits to being old fart). Saw last years
top 100 covers and couldn't believe the Kinks weren't in there
somewhere...had some over hyped guys like Billy Idol(and others who I
can't recall), who RS said was the next greatest thing at the time.
Well... who has more great tunes Billy or Ray Davies. Yes, the Kinks
had their lows, but through it all, Ray remains a VERY
underappreciated songwriter, in my mind. RS blows Marty
