Greeting Geezers and all others... ;-)Michael Bloomfield
A while ago I think PMG posted a link to a youtube video of old
Fleetwood Mac.
It's amazing I hadn't gotten into this a long time ago, but I think the
timing was perfect.
For my head it's just right, I play my 58LP RI through my 'new' 67
super using a analogman silver mod TS-9 with almost no drive (25%),
just volume push and man I'm in that goove.
I need more input, can you suggest any other bands who played that
'traditional' type of blues or blues rock. I say tradional in the sense
that, using FM as a model, white guys playing black music, who where
not trying to Led Zepplinize it, just dig it and it came out a bit
synthisized due to many different factors. Although I wouldn't restrict
my search to just white bands, but bands with the real blues groove who
were making the change to rock, slowly.
I've a bit of John Mayall and a ton of Allman Bros., but most of my
collection is of black blues players, the Alberts, the Kings, Johnsons,
etc. I dig it all, but the style of FM on the Live from Chicago
Sessions has a groove that I just dig.
I spent WAY too much time listening to Page and Clapton when I was
younger.
It's all good though, paths of music and life.
Your input is appreciated!
Peace to you.
