True, when cranked. I should have qualified... the PC sounds decent for
archtops and flattops at lower volume. What sounds even better is my
Acoustasonic JR; one of the best amps I've heard for (low volume) jazz
with an archtop. Slave 'em together and the AJR adds enough low end to
the PC for a very nice, rich sound.
Unfortunately, neither amp by itself or slaved sounds very good with
pedals for OD.

I will probably mod the amp at some point but for now I use overdrives etc for 2 reasons, 1) I can get huge overdrive at any volume and 2) it is far easier to control. ...
