Re: Canada's Iranian Shame

"You tell me why Bush had a "Deer in the Headlights" moment while reading my
pet goat."

How about simply that he's not that bright, not of leadership quality, and
not suited for the job? I saw that infamous expression on his stupid-ass
face too when the news of the first attack was brought to him. But none of
that warrants a "conspiracy theory" style analysis. In suggesting a
conspiracy theory, you're actually attributing too much intelligence to him.

I do need to point out that a conspiracy theory in regards to this has to,
almost by definition, involve Rice and Powell. Do you think that those two
in particular are capable of allowing this to happen and staying silent on
it? C'mon.

You tell me why Bush had a "Deer in the Headlights" moment while reading
my
pet goat.

There are many, many unanswered questions about what really happened that
day 9/11. If you accept the official version, I think you need to see
this:

It doesn't Kramer. He's interpreting that single report in accordance with
his knowledge of what eventually happened (ie. read my post referring to
the
value of "hindsight"). He's failing to understand that he has the power of
hindsight to second guess with.

I'm sorry to say this, playun, but your own post and source fails to
support
your position. Does it support the position that intel was coming into
the
White House? Yes? Does it support the position that ONE of the thousands
of
memos referred to a potential "hijacking"? Yes. Does it support the
position that The President KNEW that 4 planes would be hijacked and
turned
into suicide bombs to be flown into buildings? Not even close. It does
support the position that what actually occurred was unimaginable to the
people analyzing the data and receiving the reports.

I'll bet you that if the President's grandmother were kidnapped, somewhere
someone would be able to locate a memo alluding to that too, after the
fact.

Wrong.

White House releases bin Laden memo
Presidential briefing was at center of Rice's testimony
Wednesday, May 19, 2004 Posted: 12:22 AM EDT (0422 GMT)

(CNN) -- The White House declassified and released Saturday the daily
intelligence briefing delivered to President Bush a month before the
terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The declassified intelligence report said the FBI had detected "patterns
of
suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for
hijackings."

The names of countries that supplied the CIA with intelligence have been
removed from the memo dealing with Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network
and
dated August 6, 2001.

"We have not been able to corroborate some of the more sensational
threat
reporting, such as that from a [redacted] service in 1998 saying that
bin
Laden wanted to hijack a U.S. aircraft to secure the release of 'Blind
Sheikh' Omar Abdel Rahman and other U.S.-held extremists," the memo says
in
part.

What an idiot.

Where does it say planes will crash into the Pentagon and WTC on
9/11???

Do you have any idea how many other reports and memos were issued that
day as well???

That means the hundreds of thousands of threats over the years that
never materialized, you must give Bush credit for STOPPING all those
because they didn't happen.

See how easy you are, braindead guy?
