I walk in, things look like ya normal Guitar Center store, tucked away behind
some bedding store (doing more walk-in traffic, btw). Nice drum display.

I turn at the wall of cheap crap guitar/bass(s). Behind them are a WALL
from floor to the roof, of fake amp cabs. Shells, with real korners,
cardboard cut-outs of grill cloths, it looked so fuckin lame, I couldn't
stop laughing. I'm taking pix with my Razor phone, and this 'salesperson'
come us and says... hehehehe...here's the real scoop:

Him: "GOT THE PIX OF THE ONE YA WANT?"

Me: "U have my pity..having to work here.."

Him: "Why..this place rocks.."

Me: "all the plastic fake amps really rock n roll.."

Him: "..I think they are kool.."

Me: "...you would..."

Him: "Well, we know how to rock..do you..?"

Me: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..B4 u were born, buck-o.."

He then asks about my REEVES amp T-shirt, asking who they were,
I asked him if he remembered the name Hiwatt, and who Dave Reeves
was, and his eyes went blank, and told me how much the new Line6
amps kick ass on any old world amplifier. I laugh, and leave..

I was amazed where the market is going, and how the losers are
selling the ***. GC might as well be a Sears or Wal Mart.


I feel sorry for anyone shopping there..or any chain store..

I sat outside the new GC in Portland, ME for about five minutes and
finally decided it wasn't worth it...
