ADL Deplores Former U.N. Weapons Inspector's Comparison of Bush and
Blair to Nazis

New York, NY, October 12, 2005 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) said
remarks made by Scott Ritter, a former U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq,
comparing President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony
Blair to Nazi war criminals were “deplorable and outrageous.”

Speaking at the Royal Institute for International Affairs think-tank
in London on October 7th, Mr. Ritter declared that the two leaders
could be “pulled up as war criminals for engaging in actions that we
condemned Germany in 1946 for doing the same thing.”

Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, said that Ritter’s remarks
“serve to trivialize the Holocaust and the memory of the six million.”

“Clearly, Mr. Ritter needs an education,” Mr. Foxman said. “Nazi
Germany launched a series of aggressive wars against its neighbors,
committed genocide against six million Jews and others during the
Holocaust and aimed to create a ‘Thousand Year Reich’. It is
deplorable and outrageous to compare the actions by the U.S. and
British governments to restore order in Iraq with those of Nazi war
criminals.”

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading
organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that
counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.


It's that situation where all disagreement roads lead to someone calling Nazi or Hitler...discussion over, case closed.
