Re: Top Ten Bush Lies

Unspecific and supposition without exact quotes ans specifics as I am always
expected to provide. Nice try though...
Which part is unspecific? Bush was arrested on a DUI charge in Maine &
he did hide it until a reporter from Maine uncovered it. Then he said
he hid because he wanted to protect his family. Nice try though...

Uniter and not a divider is what he was known for in Texas for getting
Democrats to support many of his plans. Nice try though...
Jeez, you better NEVER again cry about cut & paste!
He may have done that in Texas but he certainly hasn't done it as
President. He directly went after Dashcle, going the SD himself to
campaign for Daschle's opponent. This weekend he referred to Harry
Reid, not by name, but as the "minority" leader. I have never seen
this country so divided in my entire 50 years on the planet. Nice try
though...

And taxes did go down for ALL tax payers! Nice try though...
Yes & at what expense? The deficit has almost as high as it ever was.
No President has ever cut taxes during war time. Bush may have cut
taxes, but the cost of Health Care and inelastic things like fuel have
gone way up. Also, I think more people have fallen into povety since
Bush has become President. Nice try though...

And he still had Federal Funding continue for Stem Cell research. Nice try
though...
The fact is that Bush's policy was the most restrictive possible, i.e.,
it's only allowed on the 60 genetically diverse stem cell lines already
(see http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2001/08/20010809-2.html).
His policy prompted several states, including CA, to pass their own
fuding initiatives to take the lead on stem cell research. Nice try
though...

There were many investigations into 9/11 supported by Bush. Nice try
though...
The fact is that Bush didn't want the 9/11 Commission to be created &
he fought against it. He finally succumbed due to the pressure of
groups like the Jersey's Girls. And years after the report, the Bush
admin is still given a D grade by the commission itself. Nice try
though...

Jeez, you better NEVER again cry about cut & paste! More assumption and
suppositions but no lie here either! Nice try though...
The fact is that Bush was ready to sign over the managing of some of
our ports to a company runned by the UAE. The UAE has a well
documented and DIRECT link to terrorists, unlike Iraq had. Also, the
port security is woefully unfunded & many shipments are not checked
like they need to be. Nice try though...

Jeez, you better NEVER again cry about cut & paste! More assumption and
suppositions but no lie here either! Nice try though...
The fact is that Bush knew Ken Lay quite well & that Enron was involved
in closed meetings with Cheney determining our energy future. Enron &
Reliant Energy screwed several states, including CA and were caught
doing it. Bush paid some lip service to the Enron scandal but that was
about it.

There were NINE reasons that Bush gave to go into Iraq, and as far as WMD's
and and Al Queda connection, both have been established. Where on Earth did
you get this crap?
And everyone of these reasons turned out to be either false and they
were trumpted up by the Bush admin. The fact is that there was no
immediate danger & this was discussed recently by General Zinni:

"GEN. ZINNI: Well, I-first of all, I saw it in the way the
intelligence was being portrayed. I knew the intelligence; I saw it
right up to the day of the war. I was asked at a Senate Foreign
Relations Committee hearing a month before the war if I thought the
threat was imminent. I didn't. Many of the people I know that were
involved in the intelligence side of this, or, or in the military felt
the same way. I saw the-what this town is known for: spin,
cherry-picking facts, using metaphors to evoke certain emotional
responses, or, or shading the, the context. We, we know the mushroom
clouds and, and the other things that were all described that the
media's covered well. I saw on the ground, though, a sort of walking
away from 10 years worth of planning.

You know, ever since the end of the first Gulf War, there have
been-there's been planning by serious officers and planners and
others, and policies put in place. Ten years worth of planning, you
know, were thrown away; troop levels dismissed out of hand; General
Shinseki basically insulted for speaking the truth and giving a, an
honest opinion; the lack of cohesive approach to how we deal with the
aftermath; the political, economic, social reconstruction of a nation,
which is no small task; a belief in these exiles that anyone in the
region, anyone that had any knowledge would tell you were not credible
on the ground; and on and on and on. Decisions to disband the army that
were not in the initial plans. I mean there's a series of disastrous
mistakes. We just heard the secretary of state say these were tactical
mistakes. These were not tactical mistakes. These were strategic
mistakes, mistakes of policy made back here. Don't blame the troops.
They're the ones that perform the tactics on the ground. They've
been magnificent. If anything saves this, it will be them."

And he though that they had at that time. Another BS tale that YOU post!
Please show any intentional LIE like I have been required to posted for you
and yours!
There were never any real WMD's found in Iraq. And the aluminmum tubes
- well, we were just lied to about them. Nice try though...

Well you can turn on a Black Light in the Oval Office now without any of
those icky stains!
As far as I can see, it's politics are usual in the Oval Office. Nice
try though...
