Hi Phil,
Yes, I think yours is good advice. With the speakers connected the OT
really changes the impedance, so even if I won't hurt the amp, it sure
won't sound right. My issue was with disconnecting solder joints on
pristine original tube amps.
I guess I can just unsolder one of the speaker leads and get the same
result.
