should I shield new filter caps ?
Hi all, I've just replaced the old cap can in my fender amp with new
(and much larger phisical size) sprague atoms and illonois caps. Had no
room inside the chassis so I removed the origional cap can and set a
plastic project box containing the new caps in it's place on the
underside of the chassis snuggled up to the power transformer. There
was no practical way to shield the inside of the new plastic box but
would it be important at all to lets say wrap the thing with conductive
tape and grounded to the chassis as a shield against possible
inductance from the transformer or should I not be concerned ?
I am concerned about noise issues.
Thanks
