peavey blowing fuses

I'm sure someone can help here. I have a Peavey Studio Pro SS amp that is
blowing the main fuse. I just got it off Ebay for a steal. The prior owner
replaced the plug end of the power cord and stated after that it blew the
fuse. I took it apart to see if there were any shorts but could find none.
Any possible solutions would help me out greatly. I have no problem with
soldering, so if I can fix it, I'm gonna. Thanks for any help.
