6L6GC 'Winged C' made in the old Svetlana shop, St. Petersburg,Russia excellent.

Modern packaged "Svetlana", not. Name-rights purchase issue. Do a little homework. Good luck.

No, I don't know that they're 'cheap' , but I think the mfr. is actually Sovtek. If you want exceptionally high quality long lasting power output
6L6's, the 'Winged C' is the old 'Svetlana' you're looking for.

Otherwise, despite all the common bitching, I think quality-wise N.O.S. Mullard, Brimar, Telefunken pre-amp tubes are excellent as long as
you buy them from someone who match-tests them and certifies them as
NEW Old Stock!



Been doing a bit of web browsing - how's the EI and "Golden Dragon" branded tube reputation? Not a lot of NOS stuff available where I am unfortunately.
