The JCM style replacement is a little bigger than the original.
The older selectors are responsible for quite a few OT failures, so
I don't think they make 'em anymore. I didn't have any luck finding
a drop-in replacement either, but I wasn't sad to see the old selector
go and I had a bare chassis to work with. You might check out some of
the Marshall forums...these guys may have a more sensible solution
than chewing out the chassis. You might consider wiring the jacks to
match the impedance of your cab untill you get a replacement, you
don't want a half-ass connection between your amp and your cab...
Just curious..why didn't the Mercury work, did you get the wrong one?
