Disabling anti-aliasing?

I'm trying to create an 4-bit gradient manually where I have
17 layers each having pixel values 0, 15, 31, ... 255.
However, the the layers next to each other, Photoshop CS
is smoothing the edges between the layers. Is there
a way to disable this?
