I am South African, thus of course I am speaking of South Africa.
If nobody will pay for negligence like losing it, you are living in a
stupid country. That is the reason why we emigrated as Huguenots from
France to South Africa some 300 years ago - could not get along with
the assurance companies. . If you pay a premium for assurance, you are
not only paying to cover your neighbours mistakes but also your own.

Yes, well as a Serth Efriken AND a Huguenot, you would have some
detailed knowledge of stupid countries.
I have just contacted my insurance company and let them know that I
have parked my car and forgotten where it is - I just can't remember -
it is lost. I have asked them to send me a new one, preferably a 5
series BMW.
I will let you know how it all goes.
