I believe Dave was looking for the opposite effect
the letters to be deeper than the surface?
Dave in the effects palettes
under the bevel, contour
try changing the little graphs, they give different effects to the bevel
if you want the light to come from a different angle on the letters than the
effect on the seal:
untick the box for use global angle
Thanks KatWoman, I'll start working on your recipe
and let you know.
I have even darkened the text colour slightly
and it is still nor realistic.
From the helpfile on the 'Emboss Filter':
Emboss Makes a selection appear raised or stamped by converting its
fill color to gray and tracing the edges with the original fill color.
Options include an embossing angle (from ?360° to recess the surface,
to +360° to raise the surface), height, and a percentage (1% to 500%)
for the amount of color within the selection. To retain color and
detail when embossing, use the Fade command after applying the Emboss
filter
This 360° is what I do not find, unless... they talk about +180° on
the one and - 180° on the other.
Thanks for your help, maybe this is it:-)
Dave
