Hello, Family

It's been awhile since I used this newsgroup. I just want to make you
aware that there are new laws in New Hampshire and Maryland (and some
other states) that make it a FELONY to videotape a police officer.
Period. It really freaks me out, but it is happening. I will attach a
couple links to news videos about it. I haven't been to a Gathering in
a couple years (NM), I was considering coming out to video police, but
if you chose a state where it is a felony to video police, you could
be putting the Family in a very unsafe situation. I just thought
everyone should be aware of this. I hope the Gathering goes well this
year.

it goes on and on........

I wonder how that holds up if the cops are fully aware of them being
video taped. The federal wiretapping law ( which I thought got thrown
out with the patriot act) is based on both parties should be aware
that recording is taking place.

Sure doesn't seem like it would hold up in court... And certainly not
to the supreme court... But obviously a huge hassle and expense for
the person charged with that.
